Skype for Windows Phone 8 adds HD video support

Glad to share with you that latest version of Skype for Windows Phone 8 add support for HD videos. That means now you're able to chat with your Skype contacts with high- definition videos.


Today they have released an update for the version 2.4 of Skype for Windows Phone 8 to enable high quality videos calls. According to Skype Official blog, "In this release, we focused on increasing quality & reliability while also adding new capabilities based on customer feedback. Get the updated version now from Windows Phone Store.

Skype also said today about the new version that, With this version of Skype Lower-end windows phone will able to deliver VGA video. On the other hand higher end devices like HTC 8X, Nokia Lumia 920 and Samsung Ativ S will able to deliver up to 720 HD videos

Below is the list of new features and capabilities you can enjoy with version 2.4 of Skype for Windows Phone.
  1. Using this Smartphone app you're able to enable free face-to-face call in crisp, clear and beautifully lifelike HD.
  2. Developers added landscape mode for calls, and the ability to switch between front and back cameras for you to chat in the most comfortable way possible.
  3. Using this version, all your Skype contacts will be come under people hub. Now with the help of this feature users will able to start a conversation easily on Skype, when you're not even running the application.
  4. A full release note of Skype for Windows Phone 8 also include Camera switching, Enabled People Hub integration and Switch accounts compatibilies.

Skype also assured that they're trying hard to improve the quality and reliability of app. You can also provide feedbacks to improve your video calling experience using this application by joining them on Skype Support Network.
